Holistic Remedies for Elbow Joint Pain

Living with elbow joint pain can be absolutely awful. Moving your arm becomes a challenge, and if you can't move your arm, you can't do anything. And medication for joint pain is expensive, and can be habit forming. Fortunately, for the naturally inclined, there are many holistic remedies which can help ease your elbow joint pain and get you back to normal again. The trick is finding the right method or combinations of methods that work for you. People are individuals, and holistic healing treats them that way; what works for another person may not work for you.

The holistic method which has gained the most attention recently for relief of elbow joint pain is acupuncture. Whether it actually works or not is still hotly debated, but there are people who swear by it. If you decide to try it, be sure you get a skilled acupuncturist; whether or not a good one can help you may be in debate, but a bad one can certainly make things worse, and that's one thing you *don't* want to happen.

One excellent method is a heat creme. To make it, melt Crisco, lard, or, best of all, natural beeswax over a low heat. When it's thoroughly melted, add ground cayenne pepper and pureed chile peppers and mix well. Pour off the mixture and allow it to cool and set. You should have a thick paste, which you can then smear onto your elbow joint pain for slightly warm, tingly relief. A word of warning: rub the creme on a very small portion of your skin to begin with, to make sure you don't have a reaction from the peppers. If you begin to develop a rash, or if your skin begins to feel painful or sensitive, wash off the creme and do not use it. You don't want to damage your skin in order to cure your elbow joint pain.
